1. Ownership
The Wealth by Design Financial website and application — including its software, design, text, blog articles, educational materials, coaching materials, courses, videos, calculators, worksheets, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other content (together, the "Materials") — are owned by Wealth by Design Financial, a sole proprietorship, or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
The software is proprietary. It is not open source, and no source code is licensed or provided to you.
Except for the limited rights expressly granted in this License or the Terms of Service, no ownership interest or other intellectual-property rights in the Materials are transferred to you.
2. Your license to use the Service
Subject to the Terms of Service, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the website and application for your personal, non-commercial financial education and planning.
If you purchase coaching, a subscription, or a digital product, this license also permits you to access and use the applicable product or service for the period and purposes described in the Terms of Service and at the time of purchase.
This license does not give you ownership of any Materials or the right to distribute them to others.
Your license ends when your account or applicable product access is terminated, expires, or is otherwise ended under the Terms of Service.
3. Digital products, courses, and videos
If we offer digital courses, videos, training programs, worksheets, guides, templates, or other digital products, your purchase gives you a limited, personal license to access and use those materials for your own personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase:
- digital products are licensed to the individual purchaser;
- access may not be shared with other people;
- you may not sell, transfer, sublicense, or redistribute your access;
- you may not publicly display, stream, or distribute course videos or other paid content;
- you may not copy or reproduce substantial portions of paid materials; and
- you may not use paid materials to create another course, training program, content library, or competing product.
We may use reasonable technical measures to protect paid content and limit access to authorized users.
4. Blog articles and free educational content
You may read, print, and share links to our blog articles and free educational content for personal, non-commercial use, with appropriate attribution to Wealth by Design Financial and, where reasonably possible, a link back to the original page.
You may not, without our written permission:
- republish substantial portions of our articles or other free content;
- sell or commercially distribute our content;
- reproduce our content as part of another website, course, publication, database, or product;
- systematically scrape, download, or collect our content;
- remove copyright, trademark, or attribution notices;
- use our content to build a competing content library or service; or
- use our original content to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or otherwise develop an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model or dataset.
5. What is not allowed
Except as this License expressly permits, you may not:
- copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Materials;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- attempt to obtain source code or other non-public portions of the Service;
- circumvent access controls or security measures;
- remove copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
- use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated systems to collect Materials without our written permission;
- use the Materials to create, train, operate, or improve a competing product or service;
- create a database or dataset from the Materials;
- share paid account credentials or course access;
- falsely suggest that you are affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wealth by Design Financial; or
- use the Materials in violation of applicable law or the Terms of Service.
Nothing in this License prohibits activity that cannot lawfully be restricted under applicable law.
6. Your Content
This License does not transfer ownership of the budgets, notes, goals, calculator inputs, or other information you enter into the Service ("Your Content").
You retain ownership of Your Content, subject to any rights held by third parties.
The Terms of Service describe the limited permission you give us to store and process Your Content so that we can provide the Service, including providing coaching services you request.
The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information associated with Your Content.
7. Third-party materials and links
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, or materials. Those third parties may have their own terms and licenses.
We do not grant you rights to third-party materials merely because they are accessible through the Service.
8. Reservation of rights
All rights not expressly granted to you under this License are reserved by Wealth by Design Financial and its licensors.
Your purchase of a coaching service, subscription, or digital product does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property to you.
9. Changes to the Materials
We may update, modify, replace, or discontinue portions of the Service or Materials from time to time.
For subscription products and digital courses, we will use reasonable efforts to maintain the purchased content during the applicable access period, but we do not guarantee that every individual video, lesson, article, feature, or other item will remain permanently available.
Nothing in this section limits any refund or cancellation rights expressly provided in the Terms of Service or required by applicable law.
